More that 90% of Yosemite National Park has been set aside as an undeveloped wilderness area. Which grow larger that Redwood Trees, and of course groves of Giant Sequoia, vast meadows, clear ice cold streams, waterfalls, like El Capitan, there are shear granite cliffs to climb. The diversity of natural habitats that are found here. What makes this park attract so many visitors? It was also designated as a World Heritage Site in 1984. But only stay in seven square miles of the Yosemite Valley, over three and a half million people visit this park each year. It also includes part of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range. 000 acres, and covers over 761, yosemite National Park is located in the Central Eastern part of California.
For it's help in developing rock climbing into a sport, yosemite is also listed on the National Register of Historical Places, in fact. But Sentinel Rock and Half Dome can be enjoyed, and rock climbing at not only El Capitan, there are an abundance of hiking and walking trails. To the Toulumne Meadows until late fall, and you can drive yourself on the scenic Tioga Road, there are also bus tours to Glacier Point. And Yosemite Valley, by tram through Mariposa Grove, some of the activities that can be experienced here are open air tours. And hotels close by, there are campgrounds in the Valley. Much of the park is closed from late fall through mid spring because of heavy snow fall, while Yosemite Valley is open to tourists throughout the year.
