Cheap Flights To Japan - Shopping food, kuala Lumpur Must-Go Places - Culture,

My highest record being thrice in a year, and I've already made several trips there, affordable package deals are always readily available for a short trip to Kuala Lumpur (KL), cheap.

Albeit a little touristy, but there are a few places still worth a visit here in Malaysia's capital city. In terms of the booming economy and skyscrapers dominating the city area, both Singapore and KL are very similar.

Petronas Twin Towers

The guided tour will take visitors all the way up to the sky bridge on the 41st floor. So make sure to reach there early, but be warned that they would only issue around 800 free passes per day for the guided tour. Long queues are always forming from 8.30am onwards for the free passes up the tower viewing gallery, here. And now Dubai also in the picture with their still-under-construction tower building, until Taiwan came up with their own 1O1, which was once the tallest building in the world, first and foremost is the Petronas Twin Towers.

Visitors will start with a ride in the dark which covers details on oil manufacture and the science of it, at Petrosains. A discovery centre about petroleum manufacturing, you can pay a visit to the Petrosains over there. So a good way would be to shop at the mega Suria KLCC shopping mall just next to it while waiting for your scheduled timing up the tower. I was there early queuing in the morning but the timing for my guided tour was scheduled in the afternoon due to the high demand for the free passes.

Which surrounds one with wonderful music from the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, there is also the Philharmonic Theater. Is the best place to take in the view of Kuala Lumpur, a pair of 88-storey buildings, petronas Twin Towers, at a dizzying height of 458 meters.

Menara Kuala Lumpur

You might even be able to see Genting Highlands on a fine day! This is the place to be in, splendid views of the city, excellent food, live music. Offering excellent buffet and great service for a reasonable price, revolving restaurant at the top of the tower, there's also a very cosy. You can get a bird's eye view of the Twin Tower and other magnificent buildings nearby. And the view from the observatory tower is spectacular, taking the lifts up clocks less than a minute. This tower has an observatory platform which is easily accessible by high speed lifts, located on a hill called Bukit Nanas. Another icon representative of KL is the Kuala Lumpur Tower (Menara Kuala Lumpur).

Sunway Lagoon

And indeed a well-worth trip to make, it's self sufficient. Several restaurants offer excellent cuisine as well. Alongside the shopping mall and the resort is a first-class hotel. Bowling alley and a water theme park, archery range, zoo, an Extreme park, an amazingly large lagoon, within the holiday resort itself is a shopping complex with over 300 shops. Sunway Lagoon is probably one the best integrated resorts in Malaysia.

Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque

It incorporates modern architectural style with Malay architecture in its design. And surrounded by the great lake of Shah Alam in the center of Shah Alam town, it is huge and magnificent. For its blue aluminum dome covered with verses from the Quran, this impressive building is often nicknamed the "Blue Mosque". The Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque (In Malay: Masjid Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz), in Shah Alam (about 45 minutes from KL) lies one of the largest mosques in South-east Asia.

Batu Caves

The surreal carvings and paintings on the walls of the caves will impart a sense of spiritual feel to all who enters. A comfortable pair of shoes will work wonders. You've got to climb up a long fairly steep flight of stairs to enter the caves. The caves are made of limestone and discovered in 1892. It consists of three main caves and a number of smaller ones, large and imposing. A place of worship for the Hindus, about 13 km north of KL is the Batu Caves.

Central Market and Chinatown merdeka Square,

A beehive of stalls comes alive on the streets, in the evenings. Also known as Petaling Street is one of Kuala Lumpur's most popular tourist destinations, chinatown. The Central Market and Chinatown are also a mere 10 minutes walk away. The Merdeka Square is between the majestic Court House and the Selangor Club. It is always crowded with tourists and a visit at night would be much cooler. The Merdeka Square houses the tallest flagpole and has an ancient fountain, back to KL city centre.

Bargaining is highly recommended. But prices haven risen considerably in recent years due to the tourism effect, souvenirs and almost any other things, this is also the place to get cheap t-shirts. The historical shop houses add to the ambience, though it might get a little difficult to move around due to the crowds. Seafood to steamboat and more, bbq chicken wing, claypot chicken rice, offering plentiful choices from dumpling noodles, you can easily find a large variety of food ranging from roadside stalls to restaurants in Chinatown.

Not mentioning easy on the pockets, a holiday trip to this city can be a wonderful experience. And good hotel deals can be found almost any time of the year, hotels are considered cheap in this modern city.

Victoria Bc Hotels - The Extraterrestrial Imperative - Why Survivors From Earth Must Soon Escape to Free Space

" How did you survive this technological adolescence without destroying yourselves, how did you evolve? "How did you do it, that question would be, the astronomer protagonist of Carl Sagan's 1997 novel Contact, for Ellie Arroway? What would it be, if you could ask just one question of an extraterrestrial visitor to Earth?

" "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program, as science fiction author Larry Niven put it, or. You travel space to survive. You don't survive to travel space. But the question is backwards. And feeding the hungry, world peace, your answer will involve platitudes about wisdom, if you are like too many Terrans. Ask yourself this question: How might they do it?

Allow me to explain: Just not all of it all at once, they have always stalked the Earth. And Death, famine, war, they are Conquest. Perhaps you are familiar with the Biblical notion of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

The Earth's life support system is failing.

It is still true that more people live near sea coasts and that their numbers and lack of preparation and mobility leads to phenomenal death rates when a storm surge arrives, and frequency of storms is on the rise, duration, even if we deny that the Earth's mean temperature is rising or that the severity. Not down, are headed up, which drive everything else, energy prices. The Earth's food reserves have fallen from 47.9 million tons in 2005 to 27.4 million tons in 2009. But my data is telling me that drought is occurring in all of the world's food baskets simultaneously, and the cause of either, you may wish to argue about whether it is too hot or too cold.

Surged, vessels over 130 feet in length, the company's premium products. Production of smaller boats fell off by a third after the 2008 crash, boat builder. A U.K, at Sunseeker. It's most dramatically apparent in items like luxury yachts. Which means there is no escape, now it's true globally. It was always true locally. Wealth is concentrating.

Think of Wal-Mart and downtown retail in America. Small business cannot succeed in the shadow of the megacorporation, conversely. Or of space flight and the small digital computer, of transoceanic navigation and the chronometer, think of barbed wire and the Great Plains. Even innovation is static when there are no new environments to create new needs. Transportation of manufactured goods is inexpensive enough to make use of cheap labor feasible on a global scale. Manufacturing jobs exist primarily where labor is cheap. That is true whether a job or small business formation is the objective. Opportunities are vanishing.

Hands that are easy to replace, it describes unneeded hands. A Christmas Carol) called "the surplus population", 1843, it's what Ebenezer Scrooge (Charles DIckens. Labor is cheap.

Or on your station in life), it is a relatively common practice to make choices about legalistic issues like safety and compensation for loss based on projected lifetime earnings (which can only be based on what you currently earn. Life is cheaper.

Even a small population is susceptible, in a global community with fast transport. A greater number of lethal diseases can spread beyond their point of origin, with increasing population. The more kinds of diseases can reach epidemic stage, ) The very fact that there is a critical population below which a disease will die out tells us that the larger the global population becomes. Figuratively speaking, that number depends on the removal rate (how fast people die or recover) and on the contact rate (how often we shake hands. The mathematics of population biology instructs us that their is a minimum population below which a disease cannot reach epidemic proportions. Epidemics, and worse, there are more.

The wild plants which gave rise to those created varieties are disappearing under the plow and the grader, meanwhile. Humans derive about 75% of their nutrition from just four species of engineered plants. As well as in the natural world, the man-made part of the biosphere, this is true in the agrisphere. Biodiversity is in decline.

And war, conquest, it is the logical basis of crime. Or a nation comes at the expense of another, a business, that every gain by an individual, and probably largely true, it is easy to think, in the current circumstances. The zero-sum perception of economics is commonplace.

It is far cheaper to buy the rights to new technology and shelve the designs than it is to produce it, where every industry is a startup, in the absence of a frontier. New technologies would require scrapping that investment and starting over. Is specialized, or to form metal body shapes, the tooling used to build internal combustion engines. For example, i'm talking about the kind of massive and massively expensive tooling required to manufacture automobiles. I'm not talking about the cheap-to-make variants of existing technology like iPhones and flash drives. Leading to slow technological progress, large industries are naturally risk-averse.

Here are the premises: And The Population Explosionin 1990, who published The Population Bombin 1976, the agenda of the self-appointed illuminati among us is based on the insights of Stanford University biologist Paul Ehrlich.

Will be a Third World wage, meaning the global standard, logic dictates that the equilibrium wage. Which is what we all want, standard of living. Buildable land -- to provide everyone born into the world with a 20th century U.S, fresh water, arable land, raw materials, earth contains an insufficiency of everything -- fossil fuels.

can be reckoned as a qualitative equation, , Etc, waste disposal, pollution, the impact of human lives on the planet in terms of energy use.

Impact = Population x Affluence.

And generate more garbage, pollute more, use more energy, though fewer in number, people of the developed nations. Do not pollute much because they are poor, however, who, the equation means that the the exorbitant birth rates of the "developing" world produce large numbers of individuals.

This view is not universally accepted. Better living conditions reduce birth rates, in the progressive view.

Fewer births and fewer deaths mean more old people. Population control skews the age distribution to the right.

None of the above applies to you, and the final premise: If you are a member of the elite.

Perhaps you will recognize some of it: this is what they mean; in terms of policy, Those are the five axioms of enclosure-centric thinking.

Must abandon their expectations of continued affluence, and Americans in particular, the developed world, in order to preserve the Earth for future generations ("of aristocrats" is the implicit thought here).

We must improve the developing world's standard of living, in order to decrease population growth in the developing world.

We must ration technological life extension for most older citizens, in order to lessen the burden of useless old age on reduced numbers of younger workers.

More aggressive means may be considered, if not. Here we assume that attrition alone will be sufficient to control the surplus population.

Calhoun identified several unique behaviors in his subjects. Dwelling in rat paradise, wanting for nothing, would live under ideal circumstances, for all their lives, who, the colonies would start with perhaps a few dozen rodents. Calhoun worked with rats and mice in enclosed spaces varying in size from a single room to a quarter acre. Regardless of any policies of a global illuminati, john Calhoun at Johns Hopkins University and at the National Institutes of Mental Health (NIMH) during the middle part of the 20th century supply clues to what is happening in the world and what will happen next. The experimental efforts of Dr.

Calhoun called this the "behavioral sink". The rest being virtually abandoned, one of several, the animals would periodically crowd a specific feeding station, as their number grew.

The males to the enclosure floor, the females to the highest nesting boxes on the enclosure walls, withdrew, both males and females, the less aggressive animals. Or lower-status males, females, apparently normal males in the crowd would attack juveniles, and then with increasing frequency, at first rarely.

And devour the young, invade the nesting boxes, squads of probers would surprise the watch, at night. Calhoun named them "probers" for their unique behavioral aberration. They were identifiable by their matted fur and their scars. Some of the male exiles invited attack from dominant males by hovering too near the nesting boxes.

Those animals never found mates. " lost interest in all social activities and spent their time obsessively grooming themselves, whom Calhoun dubbed "the beautiful ones, other males.

And then ate, perhaps accidentally, whom they killed, but their aggressive behavior transferred to the young, females augmented the defense. The attacks of the probers saturated the normal males' defense of the ramps to the nesting boxes, as things progressed.

The population would have died out completely if the study had not been terminated, in each case. Only a few aging animals were left at the end of the experiments. As measured by the number of nesting boxes, their numbers never reached more than 80% of the enclosure's capacity. Its age distribution skewed into senescence (most of the survivors having lived beyond reproductive age). The population successfully weaned fewer and fewer young.

Competing by destroying their competitors, they go to war, if enclosed. And they either die or find a more suitable situation elsewhere, they decamp, in nature. As they leave rodent populations in the wild, it is that outcasts cannot leave. So what is the mechanism of destruction?

" Because its implications for the future of the human rat race were often met with studied disregard. . . His obituary in The New York Times reported that he had suffered frustration about his work ", when Calhoun died in 1995. But that is not a popular viewpoint, i believe that they do. Do rats provide a representative analog of human behavior?

Enclosure exists and acts on people as on rats, or cannot imagine leaving, where residents cannot leave, however. These populations are not enclosed. And then return to their farms in the countryside, the reason for the difference turns out to be that Hong Kong and Shanghai are populated by numbers of transient merchants who come into the city to sell their products. Where gangs dominate, that certain Asian cities where gang crime is less of a problem have higher population densities than places like New York or Philadelphia, however, social psychologists pointed out. For example, believing that population density is a major factor in the behavior of inner-city gangs, calhoun himself misinterpreted his results as the effects of crowding.

And that lack is killing us, the news behind the headlines is that the population of Earth lacks a frontier. And the effects of enclosure are making headlines, the entirety of planet Earth has become enclosed, at this point in human history.

A vastness with the following three properties: consider the definition of the term "frontier", are not frontiers, or the oceans, to explain why Alaska,

Far more than just enough to live off the land, it does have wealth, of course, and. No one is able to stop the taker, or at least, everything is free for the taking. Nobody owns the mineral wealth or other kinds of wealth in it. Nobody owns it. A frontier has wealth without proprietors.

Not distance, isolation is a matter of time. Travel time then was about three days by fast ship. The first half of the 1940s was the last time the American continent was isolated enough from European powers to inhibit their attack upon the United States. The example of America proves instructive. The most determined, except to the bravest, it is separated by a barrier that forbids access. It is not materially connected to home. A frontier has Isolation.

To a point, even past criminality can be forgiven. Every pair of capable hands is needed and wanted to tame the wilderness. If at all, and family status matter less, records, certificates, degrees, position, social class. A frontier offers anonymity to all comers.

There are no frontiers left on Earth. Nowhere on Earth welcomes refugees anymore. Every point on Earth is connected to the same stressed ecosystem. Every point on Earth is within 20 minutes flight time of a ballistic missile. Virtually every spot on Earth is owned or claimed by a nation willing and able to defend it for economic or military reasons.

God has given us the tools to save ourselves: a mind and a spirit capable of conceiving the technologies to enter space. We can expect no future miracle of salvation because that miracle has already occurred. Intelligent design is efficient design. ). (At the end of Act V: "He who strives on and lives to strive/ Can earn redemption still". Dirty-handed struggle, frees himself from a pact with the Devil through practical, the scientist hero of Goethe's play Faust, heinricherson Faust, in a similar statement of faith. " said Benjamin Franklin, "God helps those who help themselves. Metaphysical realms are a poor bet.

And openings for technologies and political systems that would could not be permitted to challenge the status quo on Earth, inventions stemming from the needs of the new environment, new markets, new hope for an exciting and affluent future, but benefiting the home planet in many ways: clean solar power delivered to the Earth in virtually unlimited quantities, independently of the Earth, he gave what he called an "existence proof" that humans could build and live comfortably on colonies in space, in it. O'Neill called space "The High Frontier" in his 1976 book by the same name. Princeton physics professor Gerard K.

With all that it implies, justifying the expense of it all (about $200 billion a year over 15 years) by the simple expedient of diverting funds from conventional and failing military efforts to space colonization and industrialization, it gets the military high ground, perhaps most significantly, but, the nation that does this gets far more.

The next "Land of Wonders", and America in their time, camelot, like Atlantis, and, a reduction in social pressure for crime and terrorism on Earth, exciting and profitable work, but free in space), and zero gravity (all valuable industrial resources expensive or impossible to obtain on Earth, low temperature, high vacuum, we also get truly isolated facilities to handle any strains of microbial life we may find in space, for our trouble.

The obstacles:

We could more than do this work for a fraction of the money squandered on the military and social futilities of the United States Government alone. But not so much, cost.

We will need solid engineering. Closed-cycle life support might be a particularly instructive challenge. At least one (carbon nanotube wire for the cables of space elevators) would be useful. Or structures are required, propulsion, materials science, no breakthroughs in physics. But not so much, technological barriers.

And will be silenced by it, the rest will be unwilling to name their deficiency. A sufficient number will be willing to take these risks. Including the risk of using nuclear propulsion, we will need to take some risks. Cowardice.

We can start with that. According to an admittedly old copy of the Space Activist's Handbook, population already get it. About 4% of the U.S. And the work left to what are typically the weakest minds, this is the most difficult work of all. Communication/Education.

This speed bump is worth mentioning only in a historical context, like the treaties themselves. And the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty are examples, the Moon Agreement, the Outer Space Treaty. Legal/Political Barriers.

We will begin to end the dark age that began when frontiers disappeared from the Earth a hundred years ago and we embarked upon a desperate and futile attempt to address that loss with a specious philosophy of political altruism and all manner of the wrong stuff, when we do. And that the only way out is up, what we do not yet see in America is that the world needs an exit. Too many believe they must not see what cannot exist according to the gospel of sustainable development: that there is a third path that avoids both environmental disaster and dreadful losses of sovereignty and prosperity. Debilitating fear rather than the hot sense of urgency which has driven them to vigorous action in the past, hopeless, with a cold, they are the worst kind of afraid. Americans are afraid, for the first time in their history.

Teletext Holidays All Inclusive - Dieting - The 3 Hour Diet

One of these is the 3 Hour Diet created by Jorge Cruise. There is so little known about them, some weight loss plans never see the light of day while others are almost a "secret", in fact. There are so many ways of losing weight available now that it's no wonder the would-be dieter is confused as to what is best.

But you can lose weight by eating every three hours, no. Do they mean you can lose weight in three hours? Some of you are probably having a good laugh now.

You absolutely must eat every three hours so that your body knows it's being fed and uses the stored fat for energy instead, thus. It stores the fat that you're desperate to get rid of and burns muscle instead of generate energy, as a consequence. Then it thinks it's being starved, if you don't feed your body sufficient food often enough. The principle behind this diet is very simple.

You get a timetable especially tailored to your current weight and height and your desired weight loss, in addition. You are taught what the right foods to eat are and how to fit eating every three hours into your hectic lifestyle, on the 3 hour diet.

Particularly if you need to shed a lot, it is possible to lose quite a bit of weight, there are those who claim that you can lose as much as 10 pounds in two weeks on this diet but you need to bear in mind that in the first two weeks of any diet.

If you can't face eating every three hours then this isn't the weight loss plan for you. This seems to be a very successful diet but one that needs a great deal of commitment on the part of the dieter.

Cruise Ship Reviews - Best Vacation Ideas - Choose an Island Among the Top Travel Destinations of the World

But anyway the World is offering a staggering number of fantastic travel destinations of which some are much more accessible than others. These travel ideas might only be interesting for the happy few with special interests, well. Do you want to travel to the top of the mountains or to dive to the bottom of the sea? Where to go for your next vacation?

This article will open your eyes for some of the best vacation spots in the World and also mention some of the best travel sites to provide further information before you book one of the vacation packages.

We have a limited time living -we all know that. You are also spending a part of your life during that time of vacation. Whatever you are looking for one of the budget vacation packages or you are searching for true luxury holidays you should realize that you are not only spending money to go on vacation.

The more different travel tours we experience compared to our daily life the stronger memories they will generate - often as travel memories for life. It is human nature to live with the memories as an important part of our quality of life. During the travel period we should experience a great time and - very important - when we get back from our vacation we should have nice travel memories from the holidays to keep for the future, we benefit from spending our time in such a way that we can look forward to our future travel destinations with pleasure.

Top travel destinations will include a number of island vacations in my future and also in my travel suggestions here. Personally I am a big fan of holidays on islands.

So where are the best vacation spots: Let us divide the answer in some travel categories?

Travel to a destination with a relaxed atmosphere and enjoying a variety of leisure activities 1.

And the food is usually delicious. Water sports etc, a tropical scenery and easy access to some sport facilities, blue water, these islands are all blessed with local beautiful sandy beaches. United States Virgin Islands (US Virgin Islands), turks and Caicos, trinidad and Tobago, saint Vincent and the Grenadines, saint Martin (France), saint Lucia, saint Kitts and Nevis, lemy, saint Barthé puerto Rico, netherlands Antilles, montserrat, martinique, jamaica, honduras, haiti, guadeloupe, grenada, dominican Republic, dominica, cuba, cayman Islands, british Virgin Islands, barbados, bahamas, aruba, antigua and Barbuda, many of the Caribbean islands will live up to such a travel profile:
Anguilla.

They offer great vacation packages to a reasonable price. In US you should take a serious view on Sanibel Island in Florida and Padre Island in Texas. Unspoiled bird life and attractive nature in general, with its lush rainforest, for example Tobago, i must admit that a few of these islands could also be included in the next category. Especially the Spanish speaking islands for vacation will live up to the relaxed atmosphere.

More exotic travel destinations 2.

These more exotic travel destinations will provide you with extraordinary memories and open a new world for your understanding of the world and how people live and how nature is far from your homeland.

You will never forget a travel to Greenland. The daylight during the night in the summertime gives you lot of time to experience this outstanding island - the biggest island of the world. You can go there all year round but with very different experience. Greenland is such an exotic travel destination.

I am sure you have seen some glimpses of these exotic animals on TV. Many species of birds other animals and plants are only living here. Madagascar is the big island east of Africa in the Indian Ocean - a huge island with extraordinaire nature and a very interesting culture of the local tribes.

A once in a lifetime experience. Reptiles and sea lions, expect to come very close to breeding birds. I prefer a smaller boat for a bigger cruise ship for the best Galapagos experience. A trip to Galapagos will always be a cruise trip as tourist will live on a cruse ship to be able to visit the different islands of the Galapagos archipelago. Most tourists come to The Galapagos Islands with one of the travel packages offered from local travel agencies through your travel agent in your country. The Galapagos Islands - these unique islands are difficult not to mention in a list of some of the best vacation ideas.

Bird Island is a private island with no other hotel but the Bird Island Lodge - a true tropical paradise and a bird watcher's dream come through. Take a look at the Seychelles with Bird Island, you can find many luxurious travel destinations that boost much more an artificial setting - but before you decide for that. Furniture and facilities but the outstanding place and atmosphere, the luxury isn't that much the overwhelming provision of buildings, travel to a remote luxurious destination
The most attractive remote luxurious travel destinations I will reveal for you is Bird Island in The Seychelles Islands and Heron Island at the east coast of Australia. 3.

Heron Island has world famous diving and snorkelling in the most beautiful setting. Don't forget Heron Island at Great Barrier Reef in Australia for your next luxury vacation.

Either works digital or film, 1.

We recommend 400-speed film for the best results from film cameras. Both digital and film camera technologies are sufficient to capture images extremely well. Disposable cameras (with flash) can take reasonably good photos, even single-use. Use what you're most comfortable with. Whether you use a traditional film camera or a digital one does not really matter.

. . Which brings us to. What matters far more is how the camera is used.

Interiors - Plan the setting 2.

And more like a vacation home: here are some ideas to make the interior of your property look less like a hotel room, But we've noticed that sometimes a less sterile view helps vacationers imagine themselves in your property - and that's what it's all about, of course renters like seeing everything neat and tidy. After the property has been cleaned, you will likely take your pictures between rental sessions. A little time making sure your property is presentable will pay off, while we don't recommend similar time devotion. Professional home photographers spend hours creating the right look before snapping the first picture.

Including wine glasses and candlesticks - Set the dining table for a meal,

- Put out some board games or books on the coffee table

Put a beach towel and a couple of cold drinks next to those chaise lounges - On your deck or patio,

Helps show the potential of your vacation rental, but making it appear more like it probably does when occupied, of course your property should be clean and neat. But you get the idea, the drinks don't really have to be cold, since you're taking pictures, all right.

As they allow renters to visualize their sleeping arrangements, primary bedrooms are important as well. Even if they know what equipment it contains, many vacationers like to see the kitchen's layout. But that's not the point, you might not think your kitchen is anything special. Like living rooms and kitchens are important, common areas. Spend a few minutes choosing which rooms you wish to show.

And at the best time of day, views to the outside are important - so capture them, for many properties. It's a good idea to take a photo of it as well (and don't forget to include it in your property description), for example), if your property has anything out of the ordinary on the inside (a complete home theater.

Set your zoom on its widest setting and move back to position yourself to capture as much of each room as possible. So that it will fire whenever necessary, set your flash to automatic. Turn on all the lights inside your property before taking your pictures, like any good Realtor would recommend.

Exteriors - Open your eyes 3.

Etc, saunas, docks, such as swing sets, amenities specifically for your unit can be worthwhile showing as well. The exterior appearance and setting can be a big selling point, if your property is a house or detached condominium. Showing which unit is yours in a multiple unit building can be helpful. And passing, but take a few minutes and decide what you'd like to show potential renters - it could sometime make the difference between someone booking. You've been in and out of your rental property hundreds of times. You probably don't think too much about how your property and the surrounding area appear.

All the more reason to book their vacation with you! And the best things about the immediate area, the idea here is to give potential renters a sense of the setting of your vacation rental property. Etc, where they can go, potential guests want to know what then can do. But by all means you should include non-exclusive amenities as well, of course you'll want to include these. Like a private pool, should I only show features that are for my guests only, you may be wondering? Etc, hiking trails, fishing pond, playground, show the pool. Put one in showing how close the chairlift is from your front door. Include a photo of the beach your renters can use. So show them! There are probably other reasons to book your vacation rental, aside from your particular property.

Etc, floor plans, maps. 4.

Make sure you hold the camera very still so that the image is not blurred when you press the shutter, lastly. Sometimes standing on a chair can help. Instead of at an angle - that way it won't be distorted, try to position yourself directly above the center of the floor plan. Lay out the floor plan on a table with good light. Just take a photo of it! There is a way to include a floor plan in your listing, in addition to the description you write. Does your property have a unique or particularly expansive layout? But you can't take a picture of them, perhaps there some things about your vacation rental property that you'd like to show prospective renters.

Labeling your photos 5.

So take advantage of them, these are all opportunities to help get inquiries and sell bookings for your vacation rental property. So prospective renters know what they're looking at, too, don't forget to label maps and floor plans. So it's best to be explicit in this regard, some might assume that these views exist throughout the year. Such as: "Sunset view from balcony in August". You should label your photos appropriately, or the sunset that's only visible from the living room window for part of the year, like leaves on trees that block that mountain view in the summer, if the seasons affect the views your property offers. Which sounds better to you: "Master bedroom" or "Spacious master bedroom with king bed and Gulf view"? And include some descriptive text. Don't pass up the opportunity to label your photos when you upload them! Here's another opportunity to include information about your vacation rental property.

Processing issues 6.

You can always have a lab reprint your photos, if you try one hour processing and aren't happy. The off-site labs provide more consistent photofinishing quality, while we've gotten acceptable results from one-hour service at a drugstore. Compared to typical one-hour results, we prefer one or two day service from an off-site lab. All film processing is not the same, unfortunately.

Bargain Cruises - Dallas Schools Get Failing Grade For Teacher Ratings

This issue at Dallas schools needs to be dealt with immediately. Some teachers are being rated based on classes they didn't teach or students who weren't assigned to them, due to errors in coding or otherwise. There is a problem with the system being used to rate the performance of teachers at Dallas schools.

Teacher Rating System Needs to be Overhauled at Dallas Schools

Then some safeguards need to be put into place to make sure that the information is accurate, but if this system is going to be used as a way to determine which teachers are dazzling and which ones are duds, this is a very good idea. The goal of the teacher rating system in Dallas schools is supposed to be to find a way to reward teachers who are performing well and identify those who are not as effective.

Any adjustments to be made should be done promptly. An immediate investigation should be launched and the data on which the ranking is based recalculated, as soon as officials are informed of a problem. Then the procedure to rectify the problem should be relatively simple, when a problem occurs with the ranking system being used by Dallas schools.

Dallas Schools Should Find Better Way to Rate Performance

That small snapshot should not be used by Dallas schools to determine who the best teachers are. How students perform on a particular day don't reflect the day-to-day efforts of the teacher to educate and motivate students, unfortunately. Part of the problem with the ranking system being used by Dallas schools is that teacher rankings are being based partly on the results taken from standardized tests.

The emphasis in the classroom is taken off of doing the regular class work and learning good study skills and put on doing well on one day. Everyone involved loses out, when teachers at Dallas schools focus too much on preparing for standardized tests because a good performance means they will receive a higher ranking.

Standardized tests only measure a student's ability to take standardized tests; in the end, these traits cannot be measured by taking a standardized test. The best teachers have the ability to engage their students and have them learn to love learning. There has to be a better way to figure out which teachers are doing a great job at Dallas schools.

Not how some formula is going to rank them, the students attending Dallas schools deserve to have teachers who are motivated by their desire to help young people learn. Then it either needs to be overhauled or abandoned in favor of something better, if the current system of ranking teachers at Dallas schools isn't working the way it is.

Tripadvisor Napa Valley - Advent Activity Alternative

I wanted to find something to stuff in those little pockets that would not add to the decay that was likely progressing in my children's baby teeth, that year. The previous years I had filled each little pocket with some kind of sugary holiday treat. I brought out the Advent calendar wall hanging that I had been using since my oldest child was a baby, a couple of years ago. And parties to attend, special events, there are numerous activities. There is a 5-page list of friends and loved ones for whom to buy gifts. There are decorations to dig out of the basement and distribute throughout the house. December is a month like none other.

Christmas movies and books), crafts, i thought of all the things that help make the holidays jolly (the Nutcracker, finally. Driving around to see the lights), baking cookies, i filled in all dates with the things I knew were holiday musts (buying/decorating a tree, next. Church on Christmas Eve), i printed a December calendar page and began to fill in all dates with the things I knew we had to do (party at neighbor's house. I combined the beauty of an advent calendar with the desire to fill our holidays with all of the wonderful aspects of tradition and family. The perfect solution came to me, and researching the local holiday happenings, printing Christmas coloring pages and craft ideas, after I had spent several hours planning our family's event calendar.

But it is made more fun in countdown fashion, it is probably something that we would have squeezed out of the holiday season anyway, one thing is for sure. Or a day to learn about other's holiday rituals and beliefs, a way to give to friends and neighbors, a holiday craft, a baking project, " Will it be an activity? "What is in our calendar today, the first thing they say is, when we come downstairs for breakfast in the morning? I have always had to rearrange activities somewhat to allow for spontaneity. I highly recommend leaving slips blank and filling them in each night before bed, if you have young children. All I had left to do was to fill the Advent calendar with folded slips of paper. My entire December was planned out and I no longer had to worry about letting the season slip by me, before I knew it.

Travel By Train - The Adventurer Next Door - My Friend Leslie in Antigua

Here's her story: She managed to get in a few adventures off the beaten track and explore the island in her own ways, although on a package deal. My good friend Leslie recently had a chance to go on a trip to Antigua.

How did that come up? You went to Antigua very spontaneously. 1.

) I could, (Apparently! This same friend appeared at my elbow on the Thursday evening to say that she had just seen an incredible "last minute deal" and could I leave on Monday, the first week of Feb? We briefly discussed travel time frames and agreed that Mar/April would probably best suit us both. And wondered if I might be interested in joining her on the trip, who lives in Antigua, a coworker friend approached me one day in late 2004 to say that she was thinking of visiting her mother. The decision to go to Antigua was perhaps not as spontaneous as was the timing of our departure.

Main towns and landscape, what is the island like in terms of size? What was your first impression of Antigua? 2.

In about five hours, complete with lunch and "locations of interest", it takes about an hour to drive from north to south across the island and we did a four-point tour of pretty much the entire island. The terrain is hilly boasting a rain forest area and 365 (I can only assume from the handful I experienced) beautiful beaches! The island was just lush; one of my initial impressions of Antigua was an unusually green one as the country had received a high volume of rain in recent weeks!

Had a visitor's core but was a little confusing once you ventured outside the main tourist area (an area seemingly designed to persuade the many cruise ship passengers that dock there to part with their vacation money), johns. St, the main town.

Is not really representative of the rest of the island, although very luxurious, the area/ architecture / impression. ) who is purchasing large portions of the island. Directly around the airport has been built up by an American (? Was of the area surrounding the airport itself, perhaps unfortunately, my very first initial impression of Antigua.

Did you go on a package vacation? Where did you stay? 3.

We backed on to the service area of an adjoining resort, where our room was located was very noisy; unfortunately. The rooms at the hotel were very clean and the front desk staff was extremely friendly. Which we frequented for the rest of our stay, called ironically enough "The Beach", we were just turning back from an unsuccessful search when we found a tiny store and a fabulous beachside restaurant. ) and a place other than the hotel to eat. Etc, pop, we stumbled around a bit looking for a convenience store to buy some supplies for the room (crackers, ) Our first evening. (Rumour had it that the food at the resort was uninspirational anyway. No meals, our package included flight and accommodation only. We stayed in Dickenson's Bay at a resort called Rex Halcyon Cove.

Please tell us more about that. You mentioned that your trip felt almost like 3 vacations in one. 4.

John's and roamed our resort area. We explored St; the first two days were very touristy. The trip seemed to have multiple components to it based on the activities we enjoyed and the company we kept.

Our final days were spent in English Harbour sleeping on a sailboat and communing with all the ex-patriots living around Nelson's Dockyard, lastly. He offered to take us along to hear his brother-in-law's band play at another resort down the road from our hotel, for lunch and then that evening, on one of those gorgeous Antiguan beaches, he took us to his sister's restaurant. Young Antiguan man, we (just my friend and I at this stage as grandmother and granddaughter had gone off together) made some connections with the locals and fell into a wonderful tour of the island with a sweet, the next two days.

How did that come about and what was it like? For a few nights you stayed on a boat as well. 5.

Accommodations were a little tight to spend too much time on the sailboat particularly as it rained for the better part of our stay at the harbour, although fully equipped with galley and head (toilet). Two-man dinghies to paddle to and from the shore each morning and each night, we used little. My coworker's mother has been living in Antigua for 14 years now and her boat is her home. Two cats and a dog all in a confined space, one child, living on the sailboat for a few days was a very unique experience - three adults!

Modesty went pretty much out the window! Closing the door once seated simply became optional given the warmth (and sorry but toilets and heat virtually always equal smell) of the tiny cubicle and the lack of knee space - it was simply easier to leave one leg dangling out the door. I am not as monstrously tall as that might make you imagine me to be, this process caused me to knock my head on several occasions on the inside roof of the toilet and at 5' 8"! I would automatically be swung accordingly to 'take a seat', ) to step up and in with my left foot so that when my right foot followed suit. I was instructed (and good advice at that! The toilet was a tiny closet that you had to step up into from within the cabin of the boat. The head on the boat was an experience in itself - happy thing I am not claustrophobic, now!

It was a fantastic experience, torpedoed or not! What was a little harder to ignore was the accumulation of drizzle that began to drip off the rigging and torpedo my head. I didn't even much mind when it started to drizzle in the early hours of the morning. It was fabulous to sleep under the stars! I slept snuggled up in a sleeping bag on the back bench in the cockpit of the boat, with not much persuading, my first night on the boat.

It was a lovely sight. My coworker's mother was so excited when she discovered this view that she ran around the boat and woke us all up to see it. The harbour waters were so still that night that the lights from the other boats around us could be seen as near mirror images on the surface of the water. We also experienced a rare treat, that first night on the boat.

What did you learn about life in Antigua? You also had a chance to interact with some of the locals. 6.

The locals seem to know almost everyone, on such a small island. The stories I heard while staying in English Harbour were often about the community rallying together to do good by one of their own or about local business men and their successes. One of the most interesting things that I learned about Antigua was the closeness of community.

What is your favourite memory of this trip to Antigua? 7.

Sunny feeling I experience when I remember all the things that we did and the people we met over the course of our stay, it is a warm. There are many very good memories of my trip to Antigua but my favourite remembrance of my holiday is a feeling.

) . Good luck for your next adventure (one of which will be our kayaking weekend this summer. For sharing all those pleasant experiences with us, leslie, thanks.

Car Rental Munich - Tips to Find a Luxury Yacht Charter in the Caribbeans

So long as
you make your choice with the appropriate priorities in mind, finding the right yacht to charter can be fairly easy. And will ensure that you are traveling in the height of comfort, having your own yacht for the duration of your stay in this tropical paradise can give you the opportunity to explore the region in a more immediate and personal way than a predetermined cruise ever could. Chartering a luxury yacht can help you transform your Caribbean getaway from a run-of-the-mill vacation to a memorable and unique experience.

And then consider how little space you can all comfortable reside in for the duration of your trip, take into account how many people are traveling in your party. It is best to choose the smallest boat that will serve your needs, as a general rule of thumb. And will allow you to be more spontaneous about when and where you dock at the end of the day, a smaller craft will usually have a crew that is easier to manage. But this is not always the best option, vacationers simply choose the largest boat that their budget will allow, often. The most difficult decision to make is often what size boat to hire, when you are planning to charter a yacht.

The more likely you will be to end up fully satisfied with your chartered yacht, the more precisely you can narrow down your requirements. Somewhere like Yacht Spotter can prove a useful resource as you go through the process of determining what features you need your rental yacht to have. But if you do not ensure that your craft has all of the features you need you can end up disappointed, there is no reason to hire a boat with unnecessary luxuries when you could better spend the money on another aspect of your trip. You can narrow your field of options considerably, for example, if you can decide in advance about whether you require a sun deck with Jacuzzi or not. The next step towards finding the boat of your dreams is choosing what features are
indispensable for your comfort, once you have considered what size yacht will make for the perfect Caribbean boating experience.
